Thank you for choosing Barra Private Tours. Please read these terms before you book. When you make a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted them on behalf of yourself and everyone in your group.

Bookings and payment
A 30% deposit is due when your booking is confirmed. If the deposit isn't paid, your booking may be cancelled.
The balance is due no later than departure. If it isn't paid by then, your booking may be cancelled.
10% of the trip price is a non-refundable booking fee once your deposit has been paid.
Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Cancellations by you
When you cancel What you receive
- More than 30 days before departure A full refund less the 10% booking fee, or a free reschedule
- 15 to 30 days before departure A 50% refund, or a 75% credit towards a future trip (valid for 12 months)
- 4 to 14 days before departure No refund. A 25% credit towards a future booking
- Within 3 days of departure No refund or credit
Changing your date
We understand that illness and unexpected events happen.
- More than 30 days before departure: we'll move your trip at no cost, subject to availability.
- 4 to 30 days before departure: a rescheduling fee of 25% of the trip price applies, unless we're able to fill your original spot.
- Within 3 days of departure: we can't change your date, and the full trip price applies.
Weather and safety
We make every effort to run each trip on time and as planned. Your safety always comes first, so we can't take you out if:
The Bureau of Meteorology issues a tropical cyclone warning or strong wind warning for any part of your trip
wind speeds exceed the safe operating limits set for our vessel by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority
a natural disaster or other event beyond our control prevents the trip going ahead.
If we cancel your trip for any of these reasons, we'll offer you a new date or a refund of the trip price. We can't accept responsibility for other costs, such as airfares, accommodation, changed travel connections or lost holiday time. These should be claimed on your travel insurance.
Changes by Barra Private Tours
We may need to cancel or change a booking for operational or safety reasons. If this happens, we'll offer you a full refund or another arrangement that suits you.
Travel insurance
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance, including cancellation cover, taken out when you book. It protects you if an emergency means you have to cancel your trip or leave it early.
Photography
We often take photos on board and may share them on our website, social media and in advertising. If you'd prefer not to appear in our photos, just let us know before or during your trip.
Acknowledgement of risk and release
Fishing is an outdoor activity with natural risks. By booking and taking part, each guest confirms the following.
I understand that I am boarding a fishing charter vessel to fish in open freshwater and saltwater, possibly in places that are difficult for rescue vessels to reach. This can make rescue, medical help and other assistance difficult.
I understand and accept the risks of fishing from a boat. These include, but are not limited to:
sun, rain, lightning, water spray and other weather conditions
motion sickness, and the pitching and rolling of the boat
slippery, wet decks and surfaces
injuries, internal or external, from boarding and leaving the vessel, from fish, fishing, fishing tackle and gear, and from the actions of other people on board.
In return for being accepted on this trip, I personally accept all risks of the activity, whether foreseen or not, while I am taking part.
I agree that neither Barra Private Tours nor its fishing charter operations manager, Floran Dos Santos (the released parties), can be held liable or responsible to me, my family or my estate for any injury, death, loss or damage that happens as a result of my taking part in this fishing activity, including as a result of the negligence of any person, whether active or passive. This includes the released parties and other passengers on the vessel.
I release, waive and discharge the released parties, and agree not to sue them, for anything arising from the fishing activity or any related rescue operation.
